Do what you do do (yes, I know…I said “do do”)

Had I really put up with such a dodgy home made webpage for so long? The answer is a fairly tradgic yes. Me thinks that I was trying to save money by making do with something home made, when the truth of the matter is that it was probably costing me customers.

Home made is a funny old term. Home baked, locally made hand made …it’s all the same really, it’s only good if the hands that made it know what they’re doing. Mine are no web designers, but thankfully I know a bloke who has good web designing hands. So I’d like to thank Tom Brown from Mouse Potato web design in Adelaide for getting my ideas to work without any fuss, and without charging like a wounded bull. Nice one.

Thankfully my hands (the ones I’m using now) are pretty damn good at making paper and that’s the way I’d like to keep it. In the meantime, I’ve learnt a lesson …to let other people let you do what you do best by doing what they do best.

You get the drift…oh, and you can check out my new web page at www.joannagairpaper.com

A first edition in the making

Coming soon to a blog near you…all the latest ideas, featured products and recent work from Australias’ smallest (and most envirnmentally conscious)  handmade paper studio. So this will be my new blog… a certain amount of “future tense” involved in this statement due to the fact that my husband and I recently had a baby (7 weeks today)… so yes, I’m going to be one of those mums with a baby in one hand, a sheet of handmade paper in the other…and probably a laptop with special modifications for for foot control.

I look forward to updating you with events, exhibitions and images of new products and artworks, in the meantime, don’t hestitate to get in touch if you have a special request, the need for some information or just to tell me how much you love handmade papers made …of any kind, but particularly those made with consideration for our environment.
